Latin American Politics has been studying the conflict in Colombia, in preparation for the opening of the “Remember Me: Voices of the Silenced” exhibit on Monday, March 14th in the library (with a lecture that night in Alumni Hall at 7pm). We watched this recent New York Times video clip about gold mining, guerrillas, and environmental degradation in class this week. — Mimi Gerstbauer, Associate Professor of Political Science.
