On Sunday, September 14th, 2014 students of Spanish & LALACS gathered in the Arboretum for a picnic and a literal kick off to the fall semester. In spite of the rain, the soccer match was on! Two opposing teams of faculty, students (and future students) formed, sporting LALACS tees in honor of Brasil (yellow) and Costa Rica (red). The red team scored the first two goals, but the yellow team caught up quickly. As rain began to fall and the score board read 3-3, the consensus was to end the game in harmony and face off at the end of the year! grrr…..
