Meet Whitney O’Connell, LALACS Minor Posted on November 28th, 2011 by Angelique Dwyer

Hola! I’m Whitney O’Connell, a senior hailing from Excelsior, MN. When I graduate in May 2012 I will have degrees in Spanish and Honors History and a minor in LALACS. I participate in several organizations on campus including; Gustie Greeters, Theta Xi Gamma, volunteering at the Hoffmann Center (a treatment center for juvenile sex offenders) and working as a student caller for GusLink.

Last semester, I studied in Valparaíso, Chile at La Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Following my study abroad program, I spent six weeks backpacking around South America including stops in Argentina, Peru and Ecuador. It was an absolutely amazing experience, for which I am extremely thankful! I am still trying to find where my passions will take me after I graduate. When I am not in class or studying, I enjoy running and yoga.
