Drugs, Guns, and US Policies in Mexico Posted on October 2nd, 2013 by

LALACS is proud to host human rights activist Francisco Cerezo, in a talk presented by Witness for Peace of the Upper Midwest

  • What: “Drugs, Guns and US Policies in Mexico”
  • When: October 9 at 7 pm
  • Where: Confer 127

When Francisco Cerezo’s three brothers were arrested in Mexico for student activism, they never dreamed they would be held—and tortured—for 7 years, while friends and family fought for their release. Come hear Francisco’s story, and find out what U.S. Drug War policies, gun laws, and military aid have to do with repression of prisoners of conscience in Mexico.

FFrancisco Cerezo will be joining us from Mexico City, where he has 11 years of experience fighting for the freedom of political prisoners. He is a founding member of Comité Cerezo
